Nikki's Bed

Since Nikki Mantis lost all her tarsi and part of a leg, she has a very difficult time with locomotion. So she's got this luxurious Egyptian cotton bed on which I carry her to various stations (her sun bathing in the kitchen morning sun, her afternoon cocktail on my business desk and her cricket dinner in the bathroom sink). She's insisting I take her to Nordstrom to look for different color fabrics.

Hahaha my old lady mantis, Pawn is doing much better in the limb department but because of her age she still has a really hard time moving more than a few steps so I always take her out on a soft white blankey so she has easy grip while she gets carried around to her favorite chilling locations in the house. She spends many an hour wiggling her mandibles as she gets lost in rambles about how when she was a young nymph... :wub:

Yes, exactly, Krissim. There really is a practical side to all of this. But we can't tell that to the mantids.

I had a superworm chew through Titan's stocking this year -_- never found the thing.

I do have special stockings - but not for Nikki. For Ponder and Magellan. Got womens hose covering the tops of the containers fro maximum ventilation and lock-in of those uncontrollable ffs. Only temporary, but the fabric really works!
