I’ve been keeping native mantis seasonally for a while now. I’d like to learn more about the hobbie. I recently had a female pass after laying several oothecae. I’m pretty sure it’s an Arizona mantis, but any help is very much appreciated. Please see attached. Thanks.

Mantis religiosa European Mantis. What part of Utah are you in? I’m in Park City almost every other month 🤗🤗🤗.

Thank you. That’s was one I was considering. I live in Layton. Hoping the eggs produce.

Not sure if there are any others up there, but from the markings on that female of yours, and the shape of the ooth it is for sure religiosa.
Thanks. I’ve been trying to figure it out for a while. Websites kept trying to call it a Chinese, but I knew that to be incorrect. I appreciate the help.
