Some stamomantis limbata nymphs hatched from an unfertilized egg. They underwent parthenogenisis. 20210213_125514.jpg

 
Wow that is so cool! And it looks like quite a few hatched too! They are all basically clones of the mother mantis. Parthenogenesis is really interesting! I once had a non mated Carolina mantis ootheca hatch out a few nymphs the same way.
