Odd behavior?

Hi, I have a ghost mantid L5 and she only eats 1/12 of a cricket every night and only at night (she is sorta plump so not worried). Are ghosts nocturnal?( I have never had this with any ghost before)

She has did not eat last night.

Mantises are mainly diurnal creatures, but have been known to engage in certain behaviors at night. I've never experienced this with my ghosts! Maybe yours just needs some mood lighting

How should I do that?

I was mostly kidding , but if you want to try it, you can feed your mantis in a dark room! Maybe that'll get her to eat? That'd be an interesting experiment!

I've heard that ghost mantids like to mate at night. Maybe some prefer eating at night?

Ghosts are also kinda fussy eaters

She molted a few days ago and has been eating an extra small cricket every 2 days! (L6). The crickets are a little small and she isn't plump but she is eating which is great!
