Is it possible to refrigerate/freeze ooths for long term storage until space, time, need allows?

All depends on the origin of species.

temperate species ooths should only be kept at the most 6 months in cold storage. Any longer that that cant be good. Of course tropical species ooths should not be kept cold at all. Just do the research on the specific species.
