ootheca...ever gonna hatch?

Hi,

I bought an ootheca back in mid-march (got frustrated waiting...bought an L2 mantis online which is growing and doing fine...'xcept for a molting incident...)...

the ootheca has not

hatched yet....so 2 1/2 months....will the thing ever hatch or is it probably a dud?

What species is the Ooth from? The Ooths of some species are known to take months to hatch.

esp if its a chinese mantis or european mantis ooth

Make sure it's warm enough too (but not too hot I guess). My understanding is that they need several weeks of warm temperatures. I kept mine outside and they hatched a few weeks after the outside temps hit 80F.
