My poor poor Petals has been gravid with fertile eggs and no matter what I did to encourage laying, it didn't work. She doesn't have much energy now and is lying on her side. I don't know what I can do for her at this point. She just wouldn't lay.

I'm really sad. Anyone have any suggestions?

So gravid. Wow.

I was told a bigger enclosure with tons of sticks. My old european only lived to give one ooth.  She was stubborn about it but who knows how many she laid while wild? She finished trying for a 2nd.

I tried that but only left he in the larger enclosure for a few days. I should have left her in longer. DOH!

I squeezed a fly and "juiced" it for Petals, she is still hanging on by a thread. Unless she gathers the energy to lay her ooth she won't make it but at least I can keep her comfortable.

It sounds like she is on her way out, I am sorry. Like Cole78 said, honey will give her extra strength and a nice treat!

Cochise had the same problem. Her second ooth never came. :( Poor Petals.

I hope a bit of honey will give Petals the energy to lay her ooth.

Thanks, she didn't make it. I have a female Violin that was mated and is also very gravid and not laying. I will try to buy a large plant tomorrow and put her on it. Hopefully, that will do the trick.
