Hey fellas, Have any of you kept orchid mantids in the same container? I'm asking because on Saturday i'm expecting 10 orchids L4-L5, 10 orchids L2-L3, 2 orchids L5-L7, and I already have already 3 orchids L3-L4 and i'm not sure if i should keep the youngers all together in 1 bug all screen cage with some plants and orchid flowers, etc.

Thanks,

Eros

Ive never done it, but L2-L3 may be fine together for a molt or two, and then you should probably separate to prevent casualties.

Its easier to feed/keep them separately, even though it may take more time. When they are scattered throughout the plants, it can make it difficult for them to find food.

Thanks,

Andrew

dont do it, I only say that because I've seen them tackle and fight prey as big as themselves at that age. Even if they give up after a while if one mantis attacksanother the damage caused could be fatal, even if it isn't eaten
