Outside material

Would healthy moss that I found outside be ok to put into a enclosure if I wash it well or microwave it?

I put mine in alive and uncooked. I think there is very little that can hitch a ride that would hurt who ever will be living with it.

My millipedes LOVE live moss! They think its sexy stuff too as it inspires breeding. They love fresh, old leaves I bring in for thier habitats. They crawl all over, under and through them. They have to explore every leaf!
