I culture my peanut mealworms on a layer of wheat bran which is really rich in dietary fiber and omegas and contains significant quantities of starch, protein, vitamins, and dietary minerals.and Pop corn which is suposued to cointan:

Popcorn, air-popped, no additives

Nutritional value per 100 g (3.5 oz)

Energy 380 kcal 1600 kJ

Carbohydrates 78 g

- Dietary fiber 15 g

Fat 4 g

Protein 12 g

Thiamine (Vit. B1) 0.2 mg 15%

Riboflavin (Vit. B2) 0.3 mg 20%

Iron 2.7 mg 22%

And also corrot slides and aple slides, so can mealworms really be a bad food?

I dont like to use meal worms but right now im short of flie cultures and ther are no pinhead crikets aviable on shops.

what do you say?

As a part of a varied diet they would be fine. I just wouldn't feed them exclusively.

In deed I only use them as an emergency food or to help them in that size which they are too big for drosophila, and too small for nail head criquets.

I learned at college that all organisms ins some stages need diferent amounts of fat, protein, vitamins, and carbs, I guess they wols be a good food for adult females, since they need carbs and lipids for reproduction
