I havent seen a mantis eat any people yet but I wouldnt rule it out. :p Personaly I shy away from bees, wasps, ants, and crickets. They can eat all of those but I dont want to risk any harm coming to my mantids.

Nothing wrong with crickets. It's all in where you get em and how you keep em and I have never had a cricket harm a mantis. So, with that out of the way I would say that as far as insects go if a mantis can catch it it can eat it with a few exceptions. Some insects are very hard or emit chemicals as a defense and a mantis will generally drop these. Bees are eaten but are best avoided for captive mantids due to the danger to the keeper and they also don't have many edible parts. Some people feed banana or raw meat in my opinion you shoudl stick to live insects.
