I don't much care for this species, but they're really cute when you startle them. They'll fall to the bottom of their enclosure and do this.

Wow I didn't realize they would lay on their backs like that, if I found one of my bugs like that I would be digging a hole in the ground for him!

Why don't you care for this sp? Cool shot, cool behavior!
They seem very boring to me. Never move or even hunt prey. Would probably starve to death if I didn't manipulate the circumstances.

Plus they are always near the bottom no matter how big their enclosure is. Makes them like to mismolt unless I take them from their cage for each molt.

My adult males do this a lot. Never seen a female do it.

Haha so cute! I've only witnessed this behaviour once, with my wacky hyper adult female Iris oratoria, Puzzle.

Ok,ok,ok, I don't care much for this species either. I have had 3 previous victims. They all did that!

Aaaaand I have to tell u guys that I am very quiet and slow with them so...startle shmartle!

The female that I have now did that the other night and I was all "That's how b#tches end up in a freezer." And she was all "My bad, my bad! I'm good here!"

What a drama queen!!

She however hangs out on the top, thank goodness. I was talking to Pre who has one he leaves out apparently. So I am now trying that with her. I left her out on my jasmine before I went to work a few hours ago & she's still in the same spot now.

Yeah, he dropped flat like that when I opened his container. Sometimes when I startle him on the lamp, he falls off like a dead body and hits the floor.
