Heres the Popa spurcas sent to me by Mime. I was lucky enough for them to be a pair. I look forward to breeding and continuing this species, even if no one else is just because they're not selling well. Its important to keep a species in culture, because our sources of imports could dry up at any time, and where would we be then? Without a bunch of species because they lost popularity.
This is the crippled male griffinii that silentdevill traded me for an adult female griffin since all 6 of mine were female. He's blind, his antennae essentially don't exist, his raptorials are weak and missing a tarsil, but worst of all are his mouth parts. He has a hard time eating anything because they're sort of smushed upwards and shorter than usual. He cant bite through any shells at all, I have to give him pupae I cut in half so he can suck out the goo. He wasnt always this bad, but shortly after I got him he molted and messed up his face somehow. And now silentdevill is mating my adult female I raised from L2 with his healthy males while my females grow old and this guy refuses to molt to at least subadult. To say I'm upset would be an understatement.
Thats it for my melancholy post. I hope something turns around for the better soon.
