Post Ooth Feeding Frenzy

Our S. Californica oothed the other day 10/05/08. I did not feed her for a day after oothing to give her a break. Then i noticed that she came up to the clear side of the butterfly cube 12"x12" and seemed to stare at me as i worked on my computer for a while. then she started doing this weird shimmy dance while staring at me and bobbing her arms. She kept doing this for some time then she ate 10 honey gut houseflies in about 10 minutes. Today she did the shimmy dance again while looking at me. She seemed really, really hungry and ate more flies about 5. I will not feed her again for a couple of days but that sure seems like a lot of flies. Is that normal post oothing behavior?

Also, what is up with she shimmy dance - arm bobbing and staring? Has anyone seen that before?

Feed her everyday, she needs it for the ooth and babies, also she is working for her din din :lol:

Feed her as much as she will eat. They eat like pigs when producing ooths
