Today I noticed this on the inside of Jack's tank. There was another splatter area as well. They don't stink and they don't appear to be brownish. I opened his tank and gave a good sniff, then wiped up the splatter with a moistened towel and-uh-sniffed that....But that also didn't smell. He had a large (for his size) dubia roach yesterday. He looked really full. Could this just be overly full puking? Aside from being a little less crazy than usual (he's skittish as heck) he isn't acting out of the norm. I offered some water on a paintbrush and he seemed to be nibbling it and I also wiped some on his antenna and claws with water to encourage him to clean those off.

The last thing my roaches ate was a too-old-for-humans orange.

I forgot to mention I shined a light on him and his face was moist even though all the visible splatter was dry.

I offered water today and he was thirstier than yesterday, but he is still alert. We also got our heating pad set up and his tank is a steady 75F now. I have no idea what the splattering is from. But there is more in his tank as of this morning.

I'm not sure theres anything wrong my mantids sometimes have little splatters on their enclosure walls. So far the only time I've had any issues were when mantids were kept excessively humid and vommited reddish-brown. It is good to keep an eye on them, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think its normal for them to go to the bathroom or even regurgitate food *sometimes*

I assume your mantis was just fine after that? Did it stop completely or come back every once in a while?
He was just fine. Still doing great, praise the Lord. Every once and a while I will see it on one of their cages (have 3) and I assume it's vommit but it very well could be pee.
