If you can determine sex in this species by counting segments then, yes, we could determine sex by these photos. I don't often try to sex nymphs this young but when I do this is how I prefer to do it.

Try the notch method, they are in the family Hymenopodidae like orchids which can easily be sexed at L2 this way.

counting segments works for Hestiasula... don't know if it works for Ephestiasula...
