It is getting that time of year when Fall and Winter arrive with cold weather. It is about 68 in the room where my Malaysian dead leaf mantises are and I am wondering if that is too cold for them? And as it gets even colder outside the temperature will be colder in the room. What is the best way to give them heat? And also an easy way.   Right now they are in 32 oz cups and are still small.

With cups it is easiest to stack them inside a glass terrarium that you can heat with a lamp and under tank heater. I use this with very aggressive species.

When I did Deroplatys I raised them communally though. At adulthood I separated them into male and female group cages.

And 68 is too cold consistently. If it drops that low at night it's not terrible, just be sure to heat them to at least 78 during the day.
