Curious here as I want to know whether my housefly pupae can survive in my fridge for the 2 week period that I use them. The last time I tried to put them in the fridge I had no hatch rate at all. I wasn't sure if that was due to the fact that they were about a month old, or because of the temperature in the fridge. I think that my fridge temperature is around 40F. Should they be okay in there? I withdrew a number of pupae to eclose two days ago, and so far none have hatched. Any help is appreciated,

Thanks.

I never put those in the fridge. I only put maggots in the fridge. I take out however many I need and let them pupate.

40 is refrigerator temperature and they're supposed to last 2 weeks in there. Yeah, after a month, they shouldn't even be alive anymore.
