I hope others are having some success breeding these because this is likely my last generation. I'll sell these off at L2 and that will be it. I really like them but there are too many other species to explore.

Yay! Everyone else I know was having trouble with them. You might be the only one with them.
Son of a... I was afraid of that. It's the only reason I went another generation. I don't want them to die out of culture but I'd really like to move on.

wow, ive always wanted some of these
Now is your chance! :punk:

Same thing happened to the marbleds. You're the hero this forum needs. :)
Add Pseudoharpax virescens to that list. I bred and sold so many and didn't see any around after that generation. It's frustrating. I hope that doesn't happen with Sphodropoda quinquedens. I'll keep them going a few generation for sure. They aren't much trouble.

Look at all those little buggers!

I have a female without a male, unfortunately I don't think I'll have any offspring from her since I don't know of anyone with males her age.

I'd love to get some from you when you're selling them off as well!

It wont happen, I think there's enough interest to keep them alive and well just don't let them go 2-3 at a time.

Congrats on the hatch of valida I would like to take some on.

Maybe make them available to Breeders Only?

That or...

I nominate Bug Trader as official Guardian of all species in culture :clown: ... :shifty: ... :smarty:

Sorry man my plates full, and starting to pour off onto the table and floor. We need group efforts, one reason I send random stuff to people to raise and breed. No one person should have all of one species in their possession it risks losing the entire species or bloodline in the hobby.

Well I'm glad to hear people are interested in the nymphs. That gives me some hope. I'll post the ad once they're close to L2.

I hope you're right.

Believe it or not they're still hatching! Those photos are just the first flush of nymphs. They hatch in waves. There have been 3 or 4 more waves just as big. Last time I thought they would never stop coming.

And the rest of the R.valida posts for anyone interested:

Rainbow Rhombodera!

Hatch is finally dying down.

Each black dot is the skull cap at the end of the egg case. If you could count every dot or thread you'd know how many hatched.
