Scary eyes missing

you know how eropean mantids are supposed to have two "scary eyes"(eyes used to scare away predators or something) on their like forearms? What if they only have one of them? My male and female only have one "eye".

I don't know how with eyes but I've seen male that was bending his abdomen and scratching his wings with it and make weird sounds.

Its just different colouring :roll: , but as they are in captivity it doesnt matter as they wont face any predators
