My P. ocellata female laid her first ooth on May 4, 2008, and it has not hatched yet. Her second ooth was laid on May 14, 2008, and I got 7 nymphs on June 14, 2008; it took exactly one month to hatch. Obviously, she was fertiled, but what happened to the first ooth? Should I still have any hope or send it to the fellow collector who was looking for dry ooth? This is my first experience hatching multiple ooths from the same female. Does everyone else experience skipping hatching ooths?

By the way, there is definite difference observed of the physical look of the hatched and non-hatched ooth. The non-hatched ooth is a solid mass, without the zipper-like divisions as observed from the hatched ooth.
