So my female Carolina mantis, Mocha, has no problem just hanging around in her terrarium. However, as soon as she's on my hand, it's up my arm and into my hair. It was the same thing with Macchiato too (male Carolina mantis). She can't get a grip on my hair though so she typically starts scuttling around my shoulders until I can get her onto my hand. Is there a way to just get them to chill out on you? I'd love to be able to do something with her without having to pry her off (not literally) a place where she could fall. I know mantids want to get to the highest place possible but I've also heard that they are happy to chill out on your hand too. I don't know if it's because I'm not feeding Mocha enough or what. Even after her feedings, she just takes off. I just want to play video games with my mantis. TwT
