I haven't taken any shots of my adults so i decided to do a quick one before leaving the house. Just a Pentax M 50mm F/1.7 (cost me $30) reversed onto my old camera, the Pentax K200d. My flash had the diffuser I use for high mag. macro's on, so i just titled the flash head to adjust it for this situation. 4 images stacked.

I never thought of stacking mantid photos like that. Very cool.

Used to do that with astrophotography.

thanks. More often than not, stacking is the only way for me to get a decent amount of DOF.

Oh I know... one of my favorites on any mantid species.
