Simin's Toxodera
Summery: Simin is struggling with life, and being lonley. When he meets a Toxodera. A dragon mantis, a type of Insect that's hard to come by. Their friendship changes things forever.
The young man stood on the mountain top, eyes filled with pain. Longing in his heart, he was with his dad exploring the area, trying to find new species. And while he loved his dad very much, he wanted something more.
Someone to care, someone to talk to, that would listen. He was 33, still living at home due to anxiety and depression. Though people understood, it made him feel different. Judged.
His hair was a dirty blonde, and he came up to 5'3 feet tall, he wore blue jean pants. And a brown shirt. With a grey jacket that was tucked around his body.
He sat on the edge of a cliff overlooking the view, which was breathtaking. Yet Simin still wished he had someone to share it with. The air was crisp here, clear. Making all the air in the city seem like nothing in comparison. The clouds blew over the sky, the soft grumbling of the thunder in the distance.
Wind rushed around him but it was a free feeling, like he was flying through the air. Not a care in the world. Eye's drifting in the sky he regretted to notice, the pair of eye's watching him through the distance.
The creature whisped through the trees, almost like he was one with them. Eye's never taking off the human. Once he came along side him, they registered the human with a quick glance. Before carefully moving forward.
Simin let out a gasp as he suddenly felt something largish next to him. He flailed his arms like a comical Cartoon, the feeling of vertigo overtaking him as he was so high.
Before he could fall he felt somthing gently wrap around him keeping him upright enough just from falling, eye's ****** up widening. When he saw curious eye's watching his own.
It was a Toxodera a mantis that was known as the Dragon mantis, its slanted eyes and flowing body having the features much like a Dragon. People had tried keeping them for years, yet were never able to keep it alive for very long. Although this one was much larger then the average size of a mantis.
Letting out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. The body slowly set Simin down, leaving the man stunned as the creature registered him with a weary gaze. It had to be at least 4 to 5 foot tall. And several inches wide. No known recording had ever had the species this big.
Getting up on unsteady legs Simin slowly moved towards the creature, whose body stiffened. Eye's watching the Human's every movement, Simin lightly brushed its fingers on the Mantis back in awe at being able to touch such a creature. He lived in the area, but he never thought he'd see one with his own eye's.
The two pairs of eye's met, a connection forming. It was like Simin's body was filled with contentment. Protection, that everything would be ok. It was a feeling long forgotten. Leaving Simin breathless. His lungs full, the overwhelming feeling causing him to be dizzy.
The Toxodera watched the human with an almost soft expression, at least a mantis like one. Its head ****** when it heard other human's approaching.
"Simin,Simin were leaving".
It was Simin's father.
"Will i see you again?" Simin asked softly as the Dragon mantis made its way back into the trees.
Turning around the Toxodera lightly nodded, leaving Simin stunned. Yet almost filled with peace at the encounter.
He couldn't wait to see Toxodera again.
