good day forum :)

so a friend of mine (Mantidbro) and myself are trying to figure out the exact specie of this beautiful female mantid, were believe it to be either a stagmomantis limbata or a stagmomantis Carolina.

we are both leaning more towards the limbata, but are unsure why they'd be around my area... As I live in central Illinois and the limbata is more commonly spotted by Arizona and the border of Mexico.

 
can't tell at the moment, she's currently destroying a cricket. She doesn't have the black dot mark on her wings, under wings are a solid bright yellow.

 
This looks exactly like all the Carolina female adults I have found before. This looks exactly like a Carolina female adult.

 
I've found all kinds lately, mainly brown ones, never solid bright green like this until the 3 I spotted yesterday
