Hi everyone,

I was feeding my crickets kale, but now that it's no longer available, I was wondering if the crickets will eat fresh spinach? Also, if I wanted to freeze some of the spinach and then defrost it, could they eat that?

Thanks,

~Wolfie :)

Why not?

I occasionally feed mixes that contain spinach to all of my onmivorous insects.

If they don't like it, they will just have to wait for the next feeding.

If it gets mushy from freezing, just feed enough that they will finish so it wont make the container all funky. ;)

Just an FYI, Spinach and other dark green leafy vegetables can interfere with calcium absorption causing a cricket deficient in calcium. This could throw off the calcium / phosphorus ration of the feeder insect.
