Here is my new mantid! A Stagmatoptera binotata that I found today!!

She have almost 10 cm long! \o/

Very nice mantis

Being an adult female that you found in the wild, she could lay you some fertile ooths

Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes peeled

Many nice exotics your capable of finding in brazil

 
Maybe I'm missing something really important here, but why is everyone so enthralled with Stagmos? I mean, they're cool, but they're standard mantis cool. not anything way crazy as far as I see. Could someone fill me in?

This isn't stagmomantis like what we have in North America, it's just spelled similarly.
