I really hope somone here has a mate for my mantis. She has been an adult since aug. 12th and needs a man in her life.

Here is what i am asking, if anyone has a male mantis that would be willing to send for a "hookup". Afterwords i can either send the male back if he survives, or i can care for him for the rest of the little guys life, or i could release him into the wild so he can try to find more females. That would be completly up to the sender.

Here is what i am offering in return, you will have a choice of me sending you one or more ooths depending on how many are layed. Or if you would like to wait until they are nymphs i would be willing to send you dozends of the wee ones.

I honestly do not konw the exact species, i am just going off of what forum members have said about her pictures. Here is a link to pics of her i have posted on the forum. Feel free to let me know what kind of mantis you think she is.

It's a stagmomantis but i'm not completely sure its limbata tho it looks like it very well could be. I haven't had too many limbatas that color most of mine turn beige or green. But if you are sure it's limbata I have 3 pairs of the species but i can look for one more male for you. They have been unusually common this year in our yard until just a few days ago when the exterminators thought it necessary to spray the entire perimeter of our garden in response to us finding a couple roaches in our kitchen....since then i had to accept that the mantid population that had finally started to establish itself in our garden was probably wiped out for the most part. i finally found a couple yesterday and today so at least i know that some must have survived the onslaught. i will look for another male for you if you are absolutely sure you have a limbata. but it will most likely be a sub adult. if your female has only been an adult for a couple weeks the male should have time to catch up. PM me if you are interested it doesnt particularly matter to me whether i get an ooth or nymphs out of it. whatever would be convenient for you i suppose but you really don't have to give me anything in return if its inconvenient. take care and i hope you end up getting a hubby for your girl!

I have three beige/brown S. limbata females. For now I have one adult male to go. If you want him - PM me. I'm from Poland.

Is there a difference between stagomantis limbata and stagomantis carolina? ive been looking up pictures and ive found this pic on phasmidsincyberspace.com and it is of a stagomantis carolina and it looks exactly like my mantis.

This is from the site.

As seen in my pictures above, it matches exactly.

Johnny, If you think the mantids you find around your house would be a match for her then i would love it if you could send me a mate for her. Pm me when you get a chance. She is exactly 2.5 inches, shes very tiny lol

Yes theres a difference and no they cant interchangeably mate have fertile ooths =)
