Surprise????

I was at my grandparents house for an early thanksgiving dinner and I just happened to glance at an empty chair (or so I thought...) on the other side of the table. I saw something moving on the chair and I thought I knew what it was, but I blinked and squinted to make sure. I walked over to it, picked it up, and almost yelled in shock! It was an L4 male ghost mantis! I knew he could not have been one of the ones I had because I only had females! I am still speechless because of what happened! God provided a male ghost for my three L4 females! 

Does anyone else have a story like that??

Nope! The mantis somehow hitched a ride from our house (he must have escaped as an L1 when I was separating the nymphs into deli cups) and made his way to the folding chair!

@MantisGirl13 Wow, now isn't that a blessing?! You must have been ecstatic when you found it! I bet your grandparents weren't to happy though to find out they had a mantis living in their house for weeks or months haha. But needless to say, that's great! Good luck breeding them!

It sure is a blessing! I think he traveled with me from my house, I don't think he was living with my grandparents.

I think I will call him Pumpkin Pie (Pumpkin for short). I know it is not fancy like the names you found, @Prayingmantisqueen, but he is turning an orangish color and I did find him at thanksgiving!
