I have 2 Tenodera S. ootheca approx. 10 days difference in  hatching , one is producing all brown progeny the                                      other prominently green.

The first (brown) has difficulty moulting and has been passed by the green who have achieved L6 whereas the brown have not compleed their L5 instar .  Has anyone found that the brown Chinese mantids have longer & more challenging moults than the green ?

I raised T. Sinensis last year (12) and every single adult I had was brown (4). I don't know if there are any physical differences between the color varieties but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has anymore information about this topic.

I have a mixture of both brown and green in my current hatch that are just now hitting L7. I have not seen any difference in their molting I have both females and males of both colors molting at the same time.
