That Annoying Moment When...

hello everyone

I am NOT going to name names here, but I would like to know if anyone else has had the same situation as me with any other member here

it's regarding Hymenopus coronatus

I did rear this species at the end of 2012, getting a male and 2 females to adult April of last year

I got a female to mate but she died soon of an infection, the male was sent then to another member (even though they then got a male from a different member because they thought mine was too old for their female even though mine got the job done and the younger male got eaten), and the other female (who had just laid an infertile ooth) was sent to someone else

well a certain member, who joined us in mid October of last year, sent me a pm shortly after thanksgiving asking if I had orchid nymphs available:

I didn't get around to responding for various reasons, one of them being we have a wonderful classified section for anyone selling stuff for sale
also, I didn't even have orchids and if someone says "are you selling nymphs? I want adults", i'm not going to sell them something such as an orchid

i dont keep mantises anymore
I hadn't had mantises in almost a month by this point and my last species weren't even Hymenopodids

so the member replies to that with this:

this irritated me a little

I have NO IDEA who this person is!! I have NEVER spoken to them before! I have been on this forum since 2009 and yes I did cause trouble at first but since about 2011 I've been a fairly respectable, benign member

this person has been here for just 3 months, they may or may not have ticked off a few others, and they imply that they know me?

I can see if they looked through my old threads and such and saw pictures, great I'm glad you admire them
but if you "KNEW" me, you would've seen my thread linked above (since I never posted orchid pics after their join date), if you "KNEW" me you would've noticed my most recent photoshoots involve taus and calis (the last mantises I had), and you certainly would've seen my status update that was posted AFTER you had joined saying I had no more mantises if you "KNEW" me that well

I simply replied saying my orchids failed to reproduce

so yes, someone pestered me for something I fairly clearly didn't have (if i'm updating my saturniid pics but not posting mantis pics, it's a safe bet that there isn't anything wrong with my camera) and acted like I was an old friend of theirs

just beware to avoid frustration

i'm going to figure out how to block this person

Didn't *NAME WITHELD* clearly state in two threads that they keep orchids? Why would they be asking you for them if they already kept them??
