The Amazing Oothcea

So everybody who wants to please post your favorite pictures of ooths or your favorite oothcea stories! 

1st.

Here is Carolynn with her ooths laid today!! Sorry not too clear (my flash won't work cuz battery too low)

Found 6 wild ooths outside today! So excited to hatch and release in the garden this spring!

You will have been a ton of babies later No ooth stories here yet. Only that Cochise was a bad ooth layer.

I have already told you this, but I have had two Chinese ooths hatch loose in my room this spring! I also got back from vacation a few weeks ago to find baby ghosts! The ooth had only incubated 3-4 weeks, but it hatched! I am expecting more from the same ooth later, because it only hatched ten, and I can still see dark eggs in the ooth.

I have had many no hatches, and several very poor hatches.. I've had oothecae hatch in the mail.. I've had an old  ootheca hatch(after I gave up on it) a lone ghost, whom I found hanging out on the wall, late one evening.



One of my favourites though, was my first ootheca, it was a big Idolomantis egg case that hatched about 70 big nymphs who all looked like the source of inspiration for the extra-terrestrials in the movies "Aliens". 



My favourite would have to be last night, when I spotted a few nymphs running around an ooth cup. New 7 new baby african flower mantids!
