Yeah, I felt it needed to be said, but I almost didn't post it as I thought maybe I sounded like a smart azz, which is not my intent at all.

I fully know my straight forward approach to wordage in text can sound harsher than I want it to from time to time, but I mean well in the end, soft and sweet is something I may need to work on? :blush:

I know what ya mean man. Sometimes it can just be hard to word things and not sound like an a-hole but Ive always believed its better to be honest than to tip-toe around the truth and someone (or in the case something) get hurt in the end because of it. Sometime the true can just hurt. Anyway, in this case I believe it was just an honest mistake. As the others have said "you live and you learn."

Another thing besides the matter that has just been posted here, is the idea that anything good can come out of having one of your valued ( I do not mean a ubiquitous Chinese mantis or a Budwing) mantids go for an excursion out of it's enclosure because it seems like a nice thing to do for it. Now I have a very crippled L-3 male Orchid that has a will to live, but I will be hand feeding till he gets through the next molt. Another lesson learned by one stupid pupil who knows better.
