To Diapause or Not Diapause

I started my quest for the best dormancy period for our naturalized mantid ooths . Here is an example of a fresh laid ooth hatched wthout diapause.

Dec. 30 hatch , Jan. 1 mortality .

This is the second Tenodera ooth with the same out come.  Different containers , ooth from different locations . ..........  Serle

hy Fluffy  , no not all , just 99.5 % .  20 survived out of 110 .  I have never seen this high of mortality ....    An exercize in propagation ..........  S

that’s crazy. I guess that would mean to diapause, lol

Does this apply to all diapause Mantids, like Carolinas, Europeans, etc?

I have had some good results with Religiosa (Europeans) but the last ooth did not gestate any . Presently I have one fresh ooth incubating and one diapausing , I will send out the results....... S
