Transporting mantids across the country (Canada)

If I were to go to Ontario and pick up some wild/captive-bred tenos from the area, would I be able to bring them back over the plane? Worried about security giving me trouble. Has anyone done this before? Thanks!

Since you are travelling within Canada it would be fine, when I went from canada to USA I just packed the nymph and ooth in my luggage

Thank you for the reply! Really, they did not ding you for carrying them in your luggage. Did you put the luggage through the X-ray machine? I am somewhat concerned about the radiation.
