Fortunately this story seems like it will have a happy end but its and interesting complication so figured I'd share.

My thistle mantis Grove fell just after completing a molt so she was still soft. Thankfully I found her soon after wedged in a corner amid her decorations unable to fix her predicament. I carefully extracted her and got her hanging again. As she was still soft it looked like I got there just in time (and for the most part I had).

That evening however when I got home she was aware, hardened, and mostly looking completely fine. However her upper body had developed a slight twist that set her raptorials askew from center. At first she was flailing everywhere, running in circles, falling over herself, and basically freaking out cause her body was not the way it should be. Once I got her settled down she ate half a dozen fruit flies and seemed well enough.

By the next day she'd figured out how to cope with her deformity and was moving around almost as well as normal. She had even managed to straighten herself out enough to get one raptorial lined back up correctly so she could bring food to her mouth with it :D

The twist does not seem bad so I am confident with some more TLC and hand feeding her next molt will fix all her ills.
