So I just got home tonight and checked on my L2-L3 P.paradoxa and the 32 oz cup is completely empty (had about a dozen).
Lid is completely closed, foam stopper intact, but no signs of life, no carcasses, nothing!
Upon shaking the container in fury I see one straggling red ant.
I believe they wedged themselves down the foam stopper part and had an arthropedic blood bath, then left with fat stomachs.
To add a cherry on top of everything I entered my room to see my Crested Gecko enclosure forced open by my cat, and a long since severed tail on my carpet. I'll verify for sure that he ate it when he passes it in the morning.
I suppose I should take solace in the chance that he was legitimately hungry when he ate it, not just wanting to kill something?
So. Frustrated.
