Does anyone know how long a Violin mantis will live for. My ol' girl and my first Violin is about 15 months and she seems happy and healthy. But I'm unsure how long her health will last.

15 months is a ripe old age from what I know. My oldest lady made it to 12 months and 2 weeks. I have no idea what the maximum age is for them unfortunately.

Thanks. I'm really surprised she has lived this long. She might be an exception. I'm waiting for the inevitable.

I was wondering the same thing! I have two adult females now. One is eggbound, and the other just molted to adult this morning!

Have you tried the whole free range on plants idea? It worked for my old gal.
Well, I don't have any plants to free range her on, but I built her a HUGE net cage the other day and filled it with sticks of different shapes and sizes. She has explored the whole thing for over a week now, and yesterday I saw her trying to lay, but she was unable to. She'll stay in the huge cage for a while, but idk if she will lay.

@MantisGirl13Try increasing the humidity and heat and throw something green in there. It might help. It helps with Violet.
