My wahlbergii is staying in one place more than usual and hasn't showed any interest in the moth and fly i put in the cage today

is that a sign of molting in the next few days

its sub adult atm btw

while the two things you mention are no guarantees of an iminent moult (sometimes mantids will be very inactive and refuse food when well fed or at lower temperatures), the photo you posted of your p.wahlbergii suggests it is indeed close to moulting. the temperature you keep it at depends on how long it has to go but if kept fairly warm, i reckon it is no more than a week from moulting to adult, probably mere days. for example, here is a picture of one of my p.ocellata one or two days before moulting (notice the defined/swollen wing buds).

while yours is not quite this close, it is still not long to go i reckon.
