im not exactly sure which species i want..

anything that fits this;

- can feed on d.hydei fruit flies at 1st instar

- grows 4-6cm

i've decided i want to get rid of all my larger species and keep medium mantids. im scared of them. i got attacked 5 times in 1 week last month by my giant shield and my congo green female. (ouch)

annnyways,

im not interested in ghosts, creobroter or spiny flowers.

some taiwan flower mantids would be nice

although, im not sure whether i should buy any yet. i've got an ooth which is a little late.

i need to be more patient!

What about Sibylla Pretiosa I recall you had some but they are nice and they are not going to bit you.

haha i bought a L6 pair off eBay 6 months ago and i really didn't like them.. they reminded me of a spider and im TERRIFIED of spiders :p

i ended up trading them for 4 L3 dead leafs which i love :)

African mantis, budwing mantis, orchid mantis are all medium sized.

African mantis
If I remember right Alalomantis coxalis was keyed out as a Sphodromantis sp. so I don't think she wants those since she's been attacked by one lol. I highly recommend Hymenopus coronatus - Orchid mantis the L2 can take house flies around L4 can take on blue bottles/green bottles. Acromantis formosana is a good choice as well.
