This last show, the only reptile show i've been to, only had about 20 vendors, but felt live.
Didn't have any mantis' at it at all.
The guy I bought my okeetee corn snake from was from yucca valley california, and he said there's alot of vendors in california, but the lines are huge to get in, which seriously detracts from those events. he said if you can get a vendor pass, have a vendor friend get you in, then it's way better, but that the small AZ show was a nice change of pace for being so laid back and not hurried or crushing.
I don't know if I'd like the wait, but all the knowledgable people with brains to pick would be my fun  , along with all the new sights
, being new as I am to all this.
I spent alot of time talking to a local guy that knew about red slider turtles, since I'd just got some the night before the show, with an aquarium I bought for something else
He was knowledgable, and free with the tips and stuff.
He's the one that had the purplea T's I mentioned in the tarantula forum, and lots of boa babies.
After that show I'd like to have some dart frogs and a nice panther chamileon, but I'm not set up for them at the house and won't place them in jeopardy, so that's all future.
My mantis' are forgiving though, being the resilient chinese kind. I suppose if chinese can build a railroad that made this nation what it is, then their mantis' oughta be tough too
Closest I saw to a mantis there was the two vendors that a couple colonies of roaches.
Supposed to be up to 90 degrees here tommorrow, er today, so it may be a nice day to hunt mantis' and other varmints in the higher country.
Hey Kat, are you sure they were bumping into you and your beer, they were the one's that were camoflaged.
Next month, april, is supposed to have alot bigger show here. I may get to see.
