I've noticed throught looking at other peoples posts that they mention themselfs/mantis as instar/L1 etc. what do these terms mean and how do aply them to my mantis?
What does Instar and L mean?

It's the age of the nymph, or how many molts it's gone through. L1 hasn't molted, L2 has molted once, etc. 1st instar is a fresh hatchling, 2nd instar has molted once, etc.
