I know we have the chinese mantis, but that's all I've ever seen.

I heard a rumor carolina mantids live here but ive never seen them.

I wanted to order mantis ootheca that arent Chinese, I hatch them in spring/early summer and release them into my shrubs. So I was wondering what other species live here.

Tenodera sinensis, tenodera angustipennis and mantis religiosa.

Stagmomantis used to be native to NY but they seemed to have moved south.

I live on LI and in Nassau county I've only seen tenodera sinensis, but in sag harbor on the east end I've found angustipennis, sinensis and mantis religiosa

Thanks, I live in Suffolk county. Know any places that sell the ootheca, especially tenodera angustipennis.
