Does it really change to that many different colors after molts?

Well if they are talking about the one in the picture it isn't going to molt anymore so that's not true. And a color change at every molt is not guaranteed. Very misleading ad and very overpriced mantis.

 
Native to the U.S.? Yes. Native to Tennessee? Nope. People sure do come up with strange names for a mantid that already have a common name: the bordered mantid.
