mines getting pretty old now..
i can't remember how long shes been adult for i just know that shes nearly 10 month old haha. The females are pretty long lived... like 3 to even 6 months or so as adult. I'm guessing, as I can't remember exactly how long mine lived. And I've had other people tell me theirs lived even longer. Maybe Hypoponera will come in and comment.... I think he had one (at least) who lived quite long! PS... He keeps his at lower temps than some, which may account for longer life span.
ah coolI just had an adult femlae die last week. She made one year. She was deffinetly one of longest lived mantids i have ever owned. If you keep them cooler they may last a little longer. Katnapper, i take it Paula's passed on?
Ya, Paul... sweet girlie Paula died March 27th. I thought about writing you, then time passed and it got away from me. She may not have lived as long as some, but she had a good and interesting life!I just had an adult femlae die last week. She made one year. Wow! 10 months is not bad. She was one of my favorite mantids. Well at least I'm able to enjoy some of her offspring .Ya, Paul... sweet girlie Paula died March 27th. I thought about writing you, then time passed and it got away from me. (Paula was born in New Mexico, lived in New York for a while, then moved to Illinois... where she raised a family that went lots of different places, lol!) ^_^
