Wheel Bug molts! (video & photos)

Just happened to catch him molting. Very similar to mantis molts.

As you can see they are fully red/orange when emerging then darken as the carapace hardens.

He started eating Hydei again that same night.

The sweet tip-off, followed by the *crunch!* and bitter filling was heavenly.

Yeah, Gonzo for sure. Also reminds me of a skinny version of the blue guy from Jabba the Hutt's band...
