This is much too generalized. D. desiccata is not a very difficult one, but D. lobata starts being not as easy and D. truncata and trigonodera are definitely not beginner species.Deroplatys sp are easy
Bud wing mantids are the same way.Acromantis formosana! they are the feistiest mantis i have ever kept and will actively chase down food EVERY time, i have never known them to catch food by sitting and waiting. they have big appetites and are brave, tackling food close to their own size (and easily at least their own mass). they can be quite thirsty at first instar but from then on are very hardy and can take a wide variety of conditions, even very infrequent/rare spraying does not cause mismoults. they also mate and reproduce with very little effort on your part. if it sounds like i'm selling them to you i'm not, i actually dont have any for sale right now or anytime soon, it's just a shame this seems to be an overlooked (oversaturated?) species with alot of character. and balls
