I've been trying (with no success) to get a pre-sub or subadult Orchid for quite some time. It looks from the forum that a lot of other people are too. Why the shortage, do you think?

And how on earth do I get one? I would give a kidney at this point! Lately I've seen more Idolo's for sale than Orchids. I never thought that day would come.

If someone is willing to sell me a male orchid, and mating is successful, I would be more than happy to send an ooth in return.

On a much worse topic, I live in northern Nevada, home of the weather fluctuation. It was 75 2 days in a row- (warm enough that my Ghost ooth hatched) then cold enough just overnight to kill off 4 of my mantids.

Obviously, I placed my mantis shelving in a more temp-controllable room, and thankfully almost every ghost made it, but it was a rough hit. It made me decide not to part with any of my collection, no matter what.

So, think your happy thoughts, and maybe we will all get the male Orchids we've been wanting. I'm past pre-sub to straight sub-adult.

I apologize, I thought it was the correct placement simply because I am, and have been, searching for a male Orchid. The rest of the post is small talk, for which I apologize, but I truly am in search/need of a subadult male H.Coronatus.
