I've only lost 1 mantis in priority shipping and i think it was a molt in transit scenario

Mantis people don't know how bad shipping can be. $50 to $70 for express shipping for dart frogs. And the frogs I get are $100+ each

Why would shipping dart frogs by express be more expensive than mantids by express? I don't doubt the price of the frogs. They are beautiful.

The shipping is ridiculous, it's half the cost!

I am new to this and can already tell it's gonna add up quick!! :helpsmilie:
In South Korea shipping beetles and tropical fish was almost always something like 2 dollars and 50 cents except in the winter and then you had to pay a whole lot! I thought that was expensive!
I think faster shipping is worth it.
I do not! Maybe you cannot get that mantis in the future and you want it then I think it would be worth it.

I only buy from reptile and bug fairs (the reason for a small collection :( ). Shipping is really rediculous! I mean, a 5$ mantis, with 35$ shipping! Luckily, i have the world's largest reptile AND the nation's largest bug fair less than 30 min. From my house. :)

Well, that's just GREAT for you :p :tt2:

At least im going to the largest reptile show on the east coast this september. But anyway the shipping is really ridiculous. And here in NY the expos are 1 hour away from my house and i've never seen a bug fair here.
