Hi, I have a friend from Colombia that might be able to get me some new species into Culture... does anyone know of any mantids from Colombia?

He told me he has seen ones that look like dry leaves... Deroplatys?

Deroplatys are SE Asian. Maybe he meant some Acanthopidae.

There are about 120 species of Mantids known to occur there. I won't list them all. If you manage to bring something into culture (which isn't accomplished by just exporting them from there) it still can be identified afterwards.

Wow 120? Is there any specific ones that are really nice looking from there?
